Hi I would like to talk to other diabetics.
but nobodys there.

Hi I’m new to the group. BI-Polar and diabetic. Type 1 and have been
for 20 years. I’m 41.
Im Linda and I just joined the group. I just found out I am diabetic. Im
42 years old. I also have mild neuropathy. I still cant believe it
happened to me and Im having trouble accepting it. My daughter is 16 and
shes been diabetic 4 years now and takes insulin. Im hoping to make some
friends and get to know others who have type 2 diabetes too. Thanks for
accepting me in the group. Linda
I am a 51 yr old type 2 diabetic of 10 years, whose blood sugar levels
were between 120 and 330 when I was taking 4 X 2.5/500 Glucovance and
1 x 45mg of Actos daily, 4 months ago. My current 14 day average is
102 and my current 30 day average is 113. I am no longer tired and
lethargic all the time. In fact I have not felt better for years. My
new treatment regime is working - with reduced medication. However, I
am always looking for ways to maintain a healthy lifestyle and keep my
diabetes under control, so any suggestions are welcome.

Hi everyone
I’ve been diabetic since the age of 7.
I have been through the ringer with the complications. I lost my
eyesight a while back but with surgery, I’ve regained my site in one
eye to 20/25.. worse in the other eye. I’ve had cateracts due to the
surgeries. I lost my kidney function about 6 years ago and was on
dialysis for 2 years until I received a pancreas and kidney
transplant. (Have to tell you about that some time)
Since then, the pancreas failed and now I’m back on insulin. My
diabetes is extremely hard to control and now I’m trying the insulin
pump! So far, for the last 3 days, my blood sugar has been great!
Being diabetic is a pain but it’s something you can live with. One
day at a time!
No matter what, keep smiling and keep on keeping on
I’m looking forward to getting to know you all here.
