here is a topic. has any one on here noticed if you go some were
relaxing you have better control of your diabetes. Were you don’t have
to worry about being here or there you don’t have to worry about crap
going on. Last weekend I went camping and I used the lowest amount of
lantuss I have ever used I went from 23 unites down to like 12 or so.
and I drooped my meal humalog down also. I even splurged on a huge piece
of cake and put strawberries with sugar and a chocolate frosting on it
and it barley raised my blood sugar in town it would have spiked it. I
am getting ready to head back out again I love living this close to the
worlds first national park Yellowstone park. . you can jump in the car
and be there in less then an hour I wa supposed to head out this
afternoon but my girl friend got asked to work late she is an icu nurse
and they got slammed she is the only ne of 3 nurse anthests so they
have to have 1 of the three on at all items unless they have a
anestiology doctor in house. You know they have those big studies were

i OSTED THIS TO MY CAMPING GROUPS BUT THOUGHT IT MIGHT BE HELP FULL TO
THE DIBTEIC LSITS EBCUSE WE ARE AT HIGHER RISK FOR FOOT PROBLOMBLIMS SO
CLEAN FEET ARE LESS LIKEY TO GET BLISTERS FOR ANY OEN ON THE LIST THAT
HIKE OR CAMP CHECK THESE THIGNS OUT THEY HELP KEEPING FEET CLEAN AND THE
REST OF YOU. bUT IF ANY OF YOU ARE HIKERS YOU KNOW HOW EASLY A BLISTER
CAN form esspecly if you ahve dirty feet. And yes roobby I know dibteics
are not at roskf ro havign any problims this is for the true dobteics
that now they are at risk and want to take care of them selves. I have
friend that is a felow hiker that is a dibteioc and got a blister last
weekend and it went right intoa n infection in a day and is at risk at
becoming a amputee . And yes robby his blood sugers were normel he
wathes them liek a hawk he is a nurse and knows what these deise can do.
even those who kep them normel are t higher risk for infection lucky I
only have one leg to woory about and that makes me even more vigulant
about this stuff.

Blood Sugars Levels

Monday, June 4th, 2007

There are some people who are what is considered ‘borderline’
diabetics. Those are people who need a little medication to help keep
their glucose down. For example: I know a person who is on Glucophage
500 mg tablets twice a day. She more times than not forgets to take the
night dosage, but she get blood tests and the results will be within
the range they are supposed (5to 6).
There have been days when she has forgotten to take them and those
blood tests will read a little higher (about 7).
As long as she takes one (1) a day she fine.

Here is a great recipe for banana bread it tastes great. and using
splnda and low fat butter milk it is healthy for you. I made 12 loves
today they are setting in the freezer freezing when they are frozen I
will put them in bags and use my vacuum sealer and I will have healthy
banana bread all summer. And I know Robby will post why use sugar
substitute and low fat milk because were diabetics. there you don’t have
to ask robby. Also the more brown the bananas you can get the better.
around here our walmart throws them away when they get brown they don’t
realize to make banana bread you need bananas that have gotten brown. So
I asked a friend to grab me some and today Went out and the manger was
there and he asked him what they should charge and he was like hey if
the guy wants them then he can have them free. The idiot don’t realize
people uae brown bananas for bread and they could make money off buy
marking them down. Also i used pecons rahter then walnuts this time and
I think it tiasted beter. Also i used whole whete flour in mine whihc is

How low should Blood Sugar not get?

Friday, June 1st, 2007

I’m curious. What is the lowest Blood Sugar should get before it is too
low?
I have been a Diabetic for about 10 years. My sugars used to be very
high (10 to 12 on the Diabetic scale) about 200 to 280 sometimes 300
when I got Blood Tests every three months. But the last 5 months my
sugars have been more like 6 to 8 (125 to 170). Better still I have
been testing 1 to 2 times a day since the beginning of April. Ranges go
from anywhere of 53 to 120. I get the shakes when the numbers reach the
50s. Any suggestions?
