well, here is another perfect week! these kinds of readings are what
got me that perfect a1c of 4.5 earlier this week, and i'm well on my
way to another perfect one the next time i get tested for it. i just
dont understand those people who say that its hard to control their
blood sugars, i mean all you do is cover the carbs with insulin. i'm
still eating 450 or more a day. just sunday i ate at steak and shake,
<!--more-->
and obviously it didnt cause my levels to rise high at all.

as you can see these numbers are terrific. 2 hours after meals my
levels are almost always between 80 - 110. the only time it sometimes
isnt is if i eat a big meal, then take a nap. i was reading on a
group where some people have levels in the 220s after meals. thats
ridiculous! what are these people thinking? i'm proof that
controlling blood sugars is extremely easy and anyone can do it.
<!--more-->
anyone who says they can't are ignorant. there is no reason why you
can not have perfect levels all the time!

this is another perfect week. i am proof that controlling blood
sugars is extremely easy. i dont buy any of that crap from people who
go on and on about how hard it is. thats bull. the bottom line is, if
you put the effort into it, there is no reason why you can't keep
them normal. i've even increased my carb intake to 160 a meal and
taken less insulin, and my readings are still perfect! these are
<!--more-->
completely normal. i think the doctors are full of it, i'm no
diabetic. they keep saying that my levels will start going high,
whatever! they've been saying that for 6 long months now! by the way,
that 136 was only because i had just eaten a bunch of stuff at break,
and i took my break late. oh yeah, my 2 hour readings are super. they
are always between 90 - 110 or so. hurray!

as you can see these levels are totally perfect. that 126 was only
1/2 hour after i ate supper, it was back to 82 by the morning. i can
not believe that the doctors say i'm diabetic, i think they are
crazy. i didnt eat for 12 hours this week and my fasting level was
73, thats with 5 measely units of lantus. i believe i am making more
then enough insulin. i'm proof that anyone and everyone can control

difficult to take insulin and match it up to how many carbs you eat,
me being about 150 a meal. and no i dont take much at all. anyone who
says that it is very difficult to control blood sugars obviously isnt
trying very hard. the highest reading i had last week was a 123,
which is terrific. completely normal. you might say i have alot of
<!--more-->
lows, but to me those arent lows. my body is used to 60 some readings
because i've never had any high blood sugars. this will be how it
always is. i will always have an a1c of 5 something or lower,
guaranteed. anyone who wants to say i'm in that alleged honeymoon
period is nuts! you can't be in a honeymoon period when you've never
stopped producing insulin.

Hi Robby,
I am just curious what insulin you are on, if any. If you're not on
insulin then I do not think you have diabetes, since obviously if
you're 128 after a bag of M&Ms and chips your body is producing and
using insulin effectively. If you are using insulin right now, you
should be aware of something called the "honeymoon" period, which is
a period of time where the body begins to produce insulin again soon
after insulin therapy is started. Many people with type 1 diabetes
experience this for several months, even up to a year, after being
diagnosed. It does not mean your numbers will always remain normal
or easy to control. What it DOES mean is that you should take
advantage of it to learn about blood sugar control and the effects
of insulin, food, and exercise so that when things do start creeping
up and your insulin needs increase you'll be ready.
"i am living proof that it is not as hard as people say it is to
<!--more-->
control blood sugars, its quite easy in fact. ... i am still not
sure that i am even diabetic." If you are not even sure you are
diabetic you CANNOT make an assertion like this! There are millions
of people living with "real" diabetes who do not find it "quite
easy" to control blood sugars, at least not without a lot of
learning and a lot of effort put into utilizing what they've
learned. I'm 23 and have had type 1 diabetes for almost 14 years; I
struggle on a daily basis to keep my sugars under control while
dealing with the typical college student schedule, and although it's
not impossible, I certainly wouldn't call it easy.
I'm glad your numbers are so good, but if you truly do not believe
you are diabetic ... why are you on this list? I've only been here
for a few weeks, but so far it seems that you post this with the
sole purpose of bragging to "real" diabetics who can't eat a bag of
M&Ms and expect their sugars to stay anywhere close to normal
afterwards without a lot of insulin.
Most people join mailing lists to meet people or learn or ask
questions. I'm not the moderator, so have no real authority here,
but I'd ask that if you join this (or other diabetes) lists you at
least do so with more than the intention of posting readings and
stating that you aren't really diabetic but that you're living proof
that diabetes isn't hard to control! If you are here to learn or to
meet people, then great; otherwise I'm not sure what you expect us
to do or get out of your weekly posts about readings.
