Thank you so much for your e-mail reply regarding my sons illness.
Thanks a lot for the information provided by you. It is very important for me
and for my whole family as here, in India; we lack such type of latest
information in the particular field that is IDDM (Diabetes Type 1).
I really understand that time is the best healer of all the problems. I also
understand that most of the diabetes medicines I read about, which are taken
orally, are for Type Two diabetics & will not be helpful for my son, who is a
Type One diabetic. He gets his blood sugar tests thrice a day & carries some
form of glucose with him at all time!
I would like to inform you that I am trying some Indian Herbal medicines since
17th May 2004 as advised by an Aayurved Expert here in India without
discontinuing the insulin injections to my son & his daily blood sugar tests.
Till 16th May 2004, before starting the Indian Herbal medicines, my son was
regularly given 35 units of insulin (20 units at noon & 15 units at evening)
daily. After starting the Indian Herbal medicines on 17th May 2004, our doctor
compelled to reduce the daily dose of insulin from 35 units (20 units at noon &
15 units at evening) to 30 units a day (18 units at noon & 12 units at evening)
on the basis of FBS & PPBS (Blood Sugar) reports on 19th May 2004.
Again on 22nd May 2004, our doctor compelled to reduce the daily dose of
insulin from 30 units (18 units at noon & 12 units at evening) to 25 units a day
(15 units at noon & 10 units at evening) on the basis of FBS & PPBS (Blood
Sugar) reports!
Once again on 24th May 2004, our doctor compelled to reduce the daily dose of
insulin from 25 units (15 units at noon & 10 units at evening) to 22 units a day
(12 units at noon & 10 units at evening) on the basis of FBS & PPBS (Blood
Sugar) reports!
Again on 28th May 2004, our doctor compelled to reduce the daily dose of
insulin from 22 units a day (12 units at noon & 10 units at evening) to 16 units
a day (8 units at noon & 8 units at evening) on the basis of FBS & PPBS (Blood
Sugar) reports!
It means, based on the effects of the Indian Herbal medicines, dosage of
Insulin reduced to more than 50% within a time period of about 15-17 days! The
medication is still continuing under strict medical supervision. Hope, the
dosage of Insulin will come to Zero level in near future with help of the
Indian Herbal medicines!
As and when (if possible); I discontinue the insulin injections to my son on
advice of my doctor, I will inform you accordingly.
What I have shared is based on my own experience. In no way do I recommend the
Indian Herbal treatments without the guidance of a physician
