FWD: My Diabetes Friend

Dear Bassem & ALL ..
Let me talk a little about my experience with Mr.Diabetes before
replying to Bassem… My relationship with this friend can be
devided into three phases I guess… the first is when I started to
learn everything about him so that I can handle his anger and keep
him always a loyal and best friend for me:).. offcourse to avoid any
misscaureging results which would occure if I lost this friendship.
The second phase is when we started to get bored from each other, you
know when you keep too long with someone you start getting bored..
BUT when this happened, I was the only loser… for him, it didn’t
make a difference because I’m the one who needed this friendship and
not him!.. [ I think that Bassem is in this phase now ]…
unfortunately this 2nd phase lasted long with me and as a result I
lost control of him and we were going to lose each other forever BUT

AGAIN, one must look after his benefit:).. so I finally decided to
get back to him.. talk and start a new page [ ’safha gedeeda’ as we
say in Egypt ] and that was when phase 3 started and it was the best
in all the three because now I understand my friend very well after
all the fights and so on, I now know what makes him really mad and
also what keeps him satisfied , Thank God we’re living well
now :)))… I’m sure some of you might be asking now, is Diabetes a
HE or a SHE ? ;) LOL
For Bassem… I think that your doing really gr8.. My first HbA1C was
7.4 and at that time my doctor said it was not bad but should be
less.. my following HbA1C’s were ranging from 7 to 8 [ Phase 2 ]..
but now it ranges from 6 to 7 [ phase 3 ], so don’t worry and I don’t
agree that you should soften your control and let your HbA1C reach 8
for life satisfaction and the reason is that usually diabetes
complications starts on your 30’s or so…ask yourself what would
happen if you reach 30 and start experiencing complications ? …
you’ll certainly wish that time would go back again for 10 years to
recalculate things !!!… and when you have complications, you will
certainly NOT ENJOY your life after that as you’ll not be only
fighting diabetes but also complications and that’s another story :( [ Allah Yehfazna ]
so.. take care my Friends… Bassem, try to recover from phase 2 as
soon as possible :) Salaam
Ahmed
