Anybody still alive????

Sunday, December 31st, 2006

Are you are retired?
John.

Hello Deb,

Saturday, December 30th, 2006

I posted this a while ago but did not see it come on. So here is my
second try.
Hello Deb,….I fully understand your frustration with being a
diabetic. Depression is also a part of that and must be kept
controlled of course. What meds are you taking and do you have
support from people at home? Support is an important facet of coping
with diabetes. You can get support through these clubs also and many
take advantage of it.
I’m on 6 needles per day and do that now for 42 years. You see, you
always can go worse, and if you consider that maybe your own is not
so bad to carry. It is often said that if all people who have
troubles would throw them on a pile to chose some other ones, pretty
well every one wants his own troubles back out of the pile. So keep
chin up and don’t despair, one of these days maybe a wondercure will
come along. Welcome to the club and see you again.

FWD: My Diabetes Friend

Dear Bassem & ALL ..
Let me talk a little about my experience with Mr.Diabetes before
replying to Bassem… My relationship with this friend can be
devided into three phases I guess… the first is when I started to
learn everything about him so that I can handle his anger and keep
him always a loyal and best friend for me:).. offcourse to avoid any
misscaureging results which would occure if I lost this friendship.
The second phase is when we started to get bored from each other, you
know when you keep too long with someone you start getting bored..
BUT when this happened, I was the only loser… for him, it didn’t
make a difference because I’m the one who needed this friendship and
not him!.. [ I think that Bassem is in this phase now ]…
unfortunately this 2nd phase lasted long with me and as a result I
lost control of him and we were going to lose each other forever BUT

A Quick Hello

Sunday, December 24th, 2006

Just wanted to say “HI!” to the group. My name is Dave, and I was
diagnosed w/ Type II near the end of January. I found out when I was
hospitalized for an infection, and am now having complications with
one of my feet. All in all, it’s been an emotional rollercoaster.
I’ve been keeping my sugars under control with diet and medication.
Hopefully, once my foot is better and I’m able to start getting some
exercise again, I may be able to cut back on some of the medication.
Anyway, hello to everyone.

FWD: Flow

Monday, December 18th, 2006

It really doesn’t matter what form my life takes, for this journey is about
awakening. I can awaken to my true nature no matter what’s happening in the
context of my life, no matter what the content is. Because my life isn’t about
what it looks like. It’s about what it feels like. I refuse to put so much
emphasis on the form of life that I miss the gift. I pay attention to the moment
by moment flow of my life, and
realize it for the great blessing that it is. I give thanks for the
source of my being, and I envision the form I would prefer. Whether the picture
of my life fits that form or not, I always remain grateful for the good that’s
here for me to revel in.
I let go of expectations, and let my life flow in its natural course. And doing
this, my life naturally flows to greater harmony, greater understanding, greater
love, and greater conscious connection with god. And that is the best thing of
all!
