Having lost all 4 of my grandparents, I know it
is rough! You will be in my thoughts and prayers.
Remember that no matter what, your grandfather would want
you to be healthy, so try to remember to take care of
yourself and do the things you know you need to do. God
bless you and your family.

Lynda, I just want to tell you how sorry I am to
hear about your grandfather's passing. It certainly
will be a time of sadness and stress. My prayers will
be with you and your family and the lady he was to
have married. I pray for peace, a clear mind, and for
your body to stay in perfect working order. God Bless
you!<br

Thank you both for your answers. I was informed
at about 5:30 that my grandpa had gone to the ER at
about 10:30 and nobody had heard anything since and at
6 my blood sugar was 188 and when I said whoa and
retook it, it was 210. There was no diatary reason it
should have been that high. At 10:30 when I got home
from the hospital, having had nothing to eat or drink
it was still over 100. I expect I will have problems
with it for the next few weeks since he passed away
and now I have to deal with funerals, and family and
etc. I will try to stress proper eating, exercise,
sleep but the next week or so will be real unfun.
thanks again. Lynda As an afterthought he was supposed
to be getting married yesterday not dying.

Hi, Lynda. I had a lot of stress at
Christmas-time with my whole family staying with us including a
toddler and a baby. My bs was definitely up about ten
points higher than normal. With the stress it didn't
take long for my bs to go up. After Christmas and the
stress was over, it went down almost immediately. Does
this help with your question?<br

That is a individual thing, but it can start withing 15 min. or I have found
with me, it will last up to two weeks or longer after the stress is
over.<br
