I feel like shit

Does anyone know why my doctor wants me on a blood pressure med when I don’t
have high BP?

Do you know what your BP is? I have learnt that
different doctors have different ideas of what is an
    acceptable level. <br
had differing ideas, and I told them to talk to each
other and agree on what was acceptable for me, because
as things were, I could only keep one of them
    happy!<br
BP was better than they thought, cos like a lot of
people my BP is higher when I’m at the doctors. Hiring a
monitor also convinced me at a later time that I did need
    meds.<br
to to ensure my good health BUT doctors have to
convince me its really necessary first and is the best
    thing for me to do.<br
with your doctor, and ask him what you’ve just asked

us and tell him exactly what your concerns are -
    that’s if you haven’t already!<br
    everything works out for you.<br

there r a lot of blood pressure meds but one i
know is fairly new and it is given to anybody showing
any signs of protein in urine to protect against
kidney failure and high bld pressure it is not given for
specific measure but more for long term protection.<br

Recent research shows that blood pressure
medication helps in diabetes control. I don’t know the
specfics. My doc put me on Altoce even though I don’t have
high blood pressure. Since then I have read
information on the internet that blood pressure meds do help
diabetics! I was glad my doc was up on the latest research!
Hope you get to feeling better!

Carol- It sounds like you handled you care for
blood pressure very good. I have learned the hard way
to always doubt what the dr’s say and to get a
second opinion or to think about it.<br
bp raises when I go to the dr’s office. They call
    that “the white coat syndrome”.<br
    with it. <br

There are certain b/p meds (ace inhibitors) that help prevent kidney
    failure.<br
