Confused
I just found out a little over a week ago that
I’m Diabetic. I should have known since my mother and
her parents are too. I’m 35 and very confused. I am
trying to be positive but it’s just tough. My work and
my lifestyle don’t allow me to be sick. Help….

You are on a new lifestyle entry now. It takes
about 2 years to even feel like you have some sort of
control. Yes, watching your blood sugars every day and
several times a day, how you eat, you will find your
diabetes controls your life now. You will eat to live. As
long as you eat 3 times a day and 2 small snacks in
between meals, you can have a quality life. If you eat
wrong, you will feel sick or pay for it that way.
Diabetes will control you, so you must control it. Welcome
to our support group. Thank goodness there are
others in the world who know all we go through day to
day. This is a great group too you will find! Welcome!
