LYNN: I'm type 2 for around 20 years now. I
gained 60 lbs on hospital food when they put me on
insulin 2 1/2 years ago. What is happening with the great
variation in advice you are getting is that we are all
different and our bodies react differently to this disease.
For instance: I can eat a medium sized baked sweet
potato with some 0 calorie, 0 fat, 0 cholesterol, liquid
butter on it and it does not effect my Bs badly. I have
a friend who cannot eat a single bite of sweet
potato or his sugars go crazy. Everyone is telling you
what has happened in their personal experience but we
all react differently. You are going to have to go
forward slowly and carefully and determine what works for
you. Consider all of our advice but try it carefully
before adapting it as a main emphasis of your diabetes
<!--more-->
treatment.<br
