Does anybody know where they are?? I think they
live in New York City. Does any body know for sure??
Is there any way to check on them and make sure that
they are all right. I have no desire to pry into their
privacy. I am just concerned about their

My doctor recently took me off of all
anti-inflammatory medications because of a concern for my kidneys.
My lab work showed microalbumin (sp) in my urine and
in his written response he said this was of
“significant concern for diabetes damage”. That is about all
he said in the letter and for me to have a follow up
visit in December. (Of course, he said to lose weight
between now and then). However, he did not say what foods
I should not eat. What I’ve read said to avoid
foods with salt and not to get too much potassium. Also
how do I find out how much kidney damage has already
occurred? <br
have any of you experienced when taken off of
anti-inflam medications? I hurt in places that I never knew I
had. (I have been on anti-inflam meds like Vioxx,

what kind/brand of blood sugar testing machine do
you all use? cost? When I was gestational almost 9
years ago, I had gotten one only to find it was way
more expensive than other brands. I don’t know where
mine is and I’m sure they have come way down in price.
Any suggestions/comments are most welcome.

I just got a call that my blood sugar was 298
from the dr’s office. I’m to start meds on Monday and
go to a class at the clinic on Wed. I’m kind of
scared about the entire thing. I am a nurse but haven’t
worked for years as one and really don’t remember too
much or am just blanking out on it. Any advice, words
of wisdom, etc. would be most greatly appreciated.

God has provided the money to get my medication!
I’m going to the pharmacy this afternoon. So tomorrow
will be my first day on the meds. Actually, I really
look forward to this because I beleive it will really
help me lose weight and control the diabetes. You guys
have been wonderful and please be thinking of me

Lynn, your blood sugar sounds like it runs about
the same as mine. I just can’t seem to get it below
the 140 range (and that’s only happend a couple of
times) and my dr wants it at 110, but that may be a pipe
dream, though I will try and with the medicine- who
knows? The highest it has been is 276. So I’m trying to
keep it away from there. Hang in there, and yes, do
stick with the club, even if you don’t follow

Hey all! The dr finally came to the clinic here
on campus yesterday and I saw him. He prescribed
Glucophage twice a day. It will be a while ( few weeks)
before I can afford to get the prescription filled, but
I have a question. FOr those of you who take
Glucophage, is it one of the diabetes medications that can
caue you to gain weight? I hope not because I do not
need to do that. Could someone let me know?
