How Many Carbohydrates?

This may seem a silly question, but I am VERY new
at this. I am with my husband on a college campus
and the only dr I can afford is the one who comes to
the clinic here, and I am not sure when he is going
to be here again, so I am pretty much figuring this
out on my own. I am not even sure if I am going to be
on meds or not until I get to see him. Can anyone
tell me exactly how many carbs I am supposed to be
eating each day? Like I said, I am totally inexperienced
with this and pretty much on my own right now and I
don’t want to make things even worse with my
inexperience. I will somehow do what I am told if only someone
will tell me what it is I am supposed to do. I’d
appreciate any help. Thanks!

I was told 15 carbs is one serving and that I should have 2-3 servings of carbs
at each meal. So between 90 and 135 carbs per day? Lynda

Aure,…just sent you a letter re Dia. As long
you dont know what to do, do this.<br
everything but sugary desserts, candies and cakes and the
like. Ones you learn more about it it will become
easier. Also eat reasonable amount. Don’t overeat or take
an chocolate bar if you feel like it. Later maybe.
Selfcontrol will determine if you will run into complications
or can do without for some time.<br
is that at the beginning you will wonder why you
don’t get complications yet. So you will sin. This will
break you up later. Most trouble is established at the
very beginning of having diabetes. I know, I have it
41 years on 6 needles per day ect ect.<br
you will be happy with the advice. If more is needed
just ask on here. I have been away for a long

    time.<br

I am just wondering if there is a support group
of any kind that you can join. My daughter who is 11
just got an insulin pump about 2 weeks ago, and we
joined a pump support group. If there isn’t a diabetic
support group where you are…why not start one???? If
there is a place where you can post notices…maybe
others feel the same way…it is wonderful to find
others that have concerns, and suggestions to help.
