I got a bit of leg pain about a week after
starting on Lipitor, but by the time I'd been on it
another few weeks was just sore pretty much all over. I'd
have a word with your doctor - see what he
thinks.<br

Dear Carol,<br
Lipitor. I just could not tolerate it. I felt like I had
the flu all the time, aches and pains, extremely
tired, etc. I've tried other cholesterol-lowering
medications and have the same reaction to all of them.<br
The doctor is now trying Evista to see how I tolerate
it, as it lowers cholesterol, too. Thank goodness I
am tolerating it. I'll have a test in November to
see if it is working.<br

I went on Lipitor 3 or 4 weeks ago to try and
bring my cholesterol down a bit. At the time I asked
people on here what they thought of
Lipitor.<br
suit, as it gave me muscle and joint pain. At the
moment I'm having a break from cholesterol lowering
medication, and will see the endo in early December to see
what we can try next!<br
:)<br

Thank you so much for your interest. I have been
dealing with this for years. Both my parents were
diabetic and I have watched my diet and exercised in hopes
of staving off the inevitable. I had been walking to
work and so on, my sugars were fine. Then I gained
35lbs. in two weeks and my sugars shot right up. That is
probably gastroparesis. I have only recently lost my
apetite and I have an appointment with an endo in
October. So we shall see what we shall see.

My husband suffers from sleep apnea. His GP had
referred him to a neurologist, who then sent him for a
sleep study. Has anyone noticed you stop breathing
during the time you are asleep? That is how we first
realized that he had the problem.<br
doctor why he thinks your problems are caused by sleep
apnea. There could be many causes for your symptoms,
only some of which may be related to your diabetes.
<br
just start recently? Have you mentioned it to your
doctor?<br
might consider getting an app't with your specialist
sooner than 6 months from now!<br
happens.

I just got back from the office of my general
practicioner. I have all kinds of neuropathy symptoms which I
shall not bore evryone with. His solution is sleep
apnia. He figures that is 50% of my problem and then all
I have to do is get my sugars under control, (which
they are). I do this by eating one meal a day which is
easy to do since I have no appetite at all. My
appointment with the specialist is next February.<br
thought, hmmmmm, I wonder is this sleep business is the
latest medical fad? Has anyone else run across this
sleep apnia business?

Carol, good luck with Lipitor. I hope it works for you. We diabetics really do
need to get our cholesterol levels down. Let me know how it works.<br
good day!<br
