Where can I go to find legal rights for kids with
Type 1 Diabetes attending school. We have a very
serious condition at her school now and we need help
fast. The Diabetes Educator will not be able to get to
the school until the 25th and the nurse that was
working at the school has just quit for some reason
unknown to anyone and they have hired a medical assistant
that thinks she knows it all about Diabetes and has
not been working with my Daughter to learn how to
deal with my grand-daughter. All injections and finger
sticks are done by the family so far…Please help us to
find the legal help we need to get the proper care for
her while she is in school. The nurse aide told my
daughter that she does not approve of the way we have been
taught to do the shots or anything else that we have

Hi…new member here from Maine. I am a single
mom of a type 1 Diabatic, she is 6 yrs old we found
out when she was 3. Its been hard especially doing
this alone with her…does it ever get easier? lol
probably not *sighs* I tried :)<br

I am posting this for the benefit of the rest of
us long-suffering (people). I am a lawyer. I know
people don’t like lawyers. I know my own doctors don’t
like lawyers. But I am not the sort of lawyer who sues
anyone. I only defend people.<br
off sick for most of the summer. I have symptoms
which have persisted for years and hav epolitely
inquired of my doctors whether exposure to toxic chemicals
could have any bearing on my condition. They do not
want to hear about it. As far as they are concerned,
if you have a problem, you have brought it upon
yourself by reason of lifestyle excesses. If you happen to
say that, for example, you don’t drink; then you’re a
liar. The liver tests prove that you’re a liar. I could

my name is Karyn Im 22 yrs old and i have a 6 yr
old son, 2 yr old identical boys and another boy due
12-25-01. I have diabetes and have had it for 6 yrs. My
sugars are way out of controll and need some advise on
how to controll it better. I do see an
endercrinoligest and i would just like so support from others who
have it..

Saw my endocrinoogist today. The good news is I
don’t have to start on insulin, which was a possibility
(I’m a Type 2 on tabs).<br
wants me to start taking Lipitor to lower cholesterol.
He assures me that it doesn’t really have any
side-effects I’ve heard that one before!! Would you buy a
used car from that man???<br
Lipitor, have you had any problems? I’ll believe you
guys!<br

is anyone taking avandia?? i just started it this
week, and i think my sugar is high using it. i was
taking glucovance, but i felt horrible with that.
