Childhood is over

Jodi and I have to act like adults tomorrow. We
go to OKC for her<br
bullet today and ordered the lift for the<br
the van. I have to buy a $3500 lift just because she
doesn’t think<br
just don’t understand the chair only<br
pounds. When I told her that I was going to be forced
to<br
grinned from ear to ear<br
to death to find out she was going to start<br
getting an allowance. Seriously though this chair has
opened up a whole<br
dog for a walk in the evening after things<br
off a little. She is pretty smart about the whole
thing. She just trots<br

up and offers to protect me from anything.<br
Neighborhood dogs who bark at us get a low growls from her.

Hello to everyone. I am a 50 year old male,
insuln dependant for five years now. Before my sugars
went through the roof and I was hospitalized for the
usual routine of getting the sugars down and learning
about all we need to know about testing and needles; I
had experienced two years of pain.<br
fact that there is a wide incidence of diabetes
throughout my family, including both my parents and an older
brother, no doctor suggested to me that the pain and
nausea, etc. I was experiencing could be caused by
diabetes, not even after the symptoms went away right after
    I started taking insulin.<br
year my sugars went crazy, for no apparent reason and
I did the usual things, diet, exercise, monkey with
the insulin but I got progressively worse. In

desperation I went to the ‘net, starting with the Canadian
Diabetes Association and then on the some fine
    links.<br
diabetic neuropathy. Now it is all clear to me but I feel
like a fool for the blind trust I placed in doctors
    for so many years.<br
to say that I thank God for the fact that I
yesterday had the good sense finally to check to see if
there might be a club on the ‘net concerning these
issues. I’m not really a computer person. It was a
blessed relief to see that there are others in the world
with my symptoms and that I am not a self-deluding
    hypochondriac after all.<br

    helo newbie<br
baics on gasto.. read dr. bernestein’s book called
diabetic solutions. this book will give you alot of info
about basic sugar ups and downs and what causes them
and how to manage better without the dr. basically it
also highlights the faulse ways of some modern
medicine which makes our diabetes worse but dr’s opt for
    easy solutions. <br
type 1 diabetic and he faces the longterm weight sugar
etc problems just as we do.<br

Thank you so very much for that tip I shall most
certainly chase that book down. I don’t envy you you time
change a few years back I was working 3 hours ahead of
my time zone and had a devil of a time. When I had
to go back 2 months later I started my routine three
hours earlier and that worked for me. But
Pakistan…sheesh that is a ways away alright. I shall look forward
    to hearing how you cope.<br
you so much for your kind advice and God speed.

Hi- you will find a number of people like you and
me that have gastroparesis. I have had it for 4-5
years. So if you have questions, certainly don’t know
all the answers but most likely some on this chat
    line does know the answer.<br
relatively a short period of time. There are some old timers
who have had it 40-50 years on this chat line.
