Need some prayers and positive thoughts

Last week my company started laying off people.
With the economy being so bad, sales are down and
management needs to cut ‘fixed costs.’ We were told that
unless things get better, we could be looking at more
layoffs in 3-6months. I’m on my own, so there is no one
else’s salary to fall back on and on top of that is the
health insurance issue. Of course, none of this has
happened to me yet, but I would like any input any of you
have about how to get medical care and medications
here in the USA when your health insurance runs out. I
know I can COBRA my plan but at my age there is no
guarantee that I can get another job that includes medical
before my benefits (and/or money) run out. When this
happened to me before, I didn’t have anything chronically
wrong so I was able to weather the storm. I want to

stockpile ideas and information in advance because I’ll be
off the net if I get laid off. Thanks, Dona

Wow, Dona… I’m sorry. I was in that position
too. I went on Cobra, but it is expensive, and
temporary. I was able to find a group that I was able to get
insurance through after that, but it too was expensive.
Hope somebody can give you better information than
    this. De

A couple of things you can do here. COBRA your
    plan.<br
actually need and start stockpiling your meds.<br
friends with a local library and use their computers for
    the net.<br
Administration and talk to them about where you can go after
    COBRA runs out.<br
nearby, ask about their women at work program, or contact
women’s groups on the net while you still
    can.<br
have a word with you Human Resources office if it
    looks like you won’t.<br
mytcelt@… I may have some supplies you can have. Forgot if
you’re on insulin, what meter you use, etc.<br
