Dear Cat,<br
You are really doing well. Isn't it a thrill when we
work so hard and have good results. Can I boast bit,
too? I was diagnosed with type 2 this last December
and put on 2000 mgs. of glucophage. I have now cut
that dose in half and my hemoglobin A1C has gone from
5.14 to 5.5. It's work, though, as I only eat 3
carbohydrate exchanges a day. <br
work!<br

Hi Cheeks, yes, I am quite proud. Being as this
was my first hba1c since diagnosis, I wasn't quite
sure what to expect, but I knew when I got the news I
HAD to share it with you guys in here. We are, after
all, the ones who truly know what these numbers mean:)
I'm not on insulin, so I haven't gained any weight
from that, however I am on Glucotrol and Glucophage.
I've read that glucotrol sometimes causes slight
weight gain, but glucophage sometimes causes a slight
weight loss, so I'm guessing I've balanced the two and
right now, I haven't gained any more than a pound or
two (whick my mother thinks I should gain more
because one of the main reasons I even got checked was
the fact that I lost close to 50 pounds without
trying, sure enough she was right, it was diabetes making
<!--more-->
me lose.) Anyway, Thanks for the pat on the back!
Hubby and I went out for dinner last night to
"celebrate" I even had a *bite* of cheesecake afterwards
(gave the reest of it to my children) because my
birthday is coming up and he had it sent to my table,
still two hrs after eating my BS only read 107, I was
proud again!! Take care all!<br
grinning like the Cheshire Cat LOL)
