Hi Ann,<br
member--learned I had diabetes about 2.5 months ago. Was put on
glucophage briefly, but now back to trying to control via
diet. People here are friendly, and I've been learning
a lot about the disease.<br

hi ann!<br
our great grandparents had it. there are things we
can do to keep our sugars under control. most of us
will live a full "normal" life w/o complications. when
my mom was diagnosed she thought it was a death
sentence(old school of thought). i was diagnosed 2 years
before her but never thought that way ever! generally,
it is a manageable disease. <br
over 11 years and w/o complications. there are others
here and at others clubs who've had it 20 years or
more.<br
