Lantus
I am trying something new. My insulin regime has
been Humalog 3 times a day before meals and Ultralente
U at night time. <br
Lantus instead of Ultralente U. It is suspose to give a
more even 24 hour coverage. It appears that it may
work well for me. <br
you have any side effects? Is it working well for
you? <br

We’ve been giving out Lantus for the last few
weeks at our clinic, very good results mainly in the
type 2 ‘betic. Type ones fared OK, they have had to
raise their mealtime insulin a tad, but not enough to
worry anyone.<br
ya.<br

I had postd when I first went on Lantus and said
I would write more after I have been on it for
awhile. For those not familiar with lantus it takes the
place of Ultralente U. Lantus is a 24 hour insulin and
is suspose to be more consistent than Ultralente or
NPH and it certainly is. I certain like it at this
point. My bs’s are much more consistent and so side
effects. <br
you think of it? I would recommend it.

Simons,….please keep us informed. As soon it becomes available in Canada I
would like to try it. It may be a while though.<br

At $50 for a vial of Lantus I think I will stick with my NPH Insulin at $16 a
vial. When it comes down in price perhaps. JOHN
