You were interested in what others were eating on
a daily basis, so I just thought I'd
share.<br
tomato, cucumber, bean sprouts and one slice of American
cheese,(no mayo) with a diet Pepsi. Around 11:30 I have a
banana. Around 1:00 I have a salad, another toasted
bagel, soup, and another diet Pepsi. Around 3:30 I have
a hard boiled egg, 3 or 4 pretzel sticks, an apple,
plus another diet Pepsi. For supper I have a salad and
garlic bread or a McDonalds McGrilled Chicken, No mayo,
along with another Diet Pepsi. Around 11 p.m. I have a
bowl of Cheerios with a banana and skim milk.<br
know it sounds like I eat like a Chaza, but it works
for me. My last 3 Quarterly Hb1Ac tests have all
turned out about 5.7. I've also cut my meds by 1/3 and
<!--more-->
lost 60 pounds. It is not uncommon for me to have 3 or
4 pieces of fruit in the course of my day.<br
guess that shows that everybody has to find out what
works for them. What works for some doesn't work for
others. You have to study your own system and find out
what works for you. My Diabetes Nutritionist and
Diabetes Nutritionist were invaluable.

thank you all for the experience with
fruit/juice. i guess eating the fruit might be better than
drinking the stuff. these days everykind of fruit is
availbale in the market especially mangoes. i rather miss
the meal and fill up on fruit. today i had peach,
salad, meat, tomato soup, cooked spinach(2 spoons) is
this within what everybody else is eating this is
typical lunch for me; dinner is smaller. Please write and
say if this is what everybody else is eating.......

but is raising my blood sugars healthy? if i only
drink a small amount of fruit juice it rises. my
dietician told me to eat whatever i wanted as long as it
was in moderation including sweets. <br
recently reported sugar is very important for our brains.
they even said to go ahead and eat candy. i found i do
much better on tests or anything requiring logic after
eating something sweet. since i already knew one of the
main foods needed for the brain was sugar i've told
people for years sugar is good for you. <br
researched the nutrition you get from so-called healthy
foods and the so-called junk foods. you'd be shocked! a
candy bar has much more nutrition than any fruit or
vegetable. and yes it also has more fat but fat is needed
too. you'd have to eat alot of fruits and vegetables
<!--more-->
and you'd still couldn't get as much nutrition as a
candy bar. ketchup is full of more nutrition per ounce
than anything else i could find. salt is also needed
in diets. we've been led down the wrong paths to
eating right. eat what makes you feel good overall.
