Introduction

Tuesday, May 24th, 2005

Hello,<br
am 30 weeks pregnant with my second child and have
just been diagnosed with gestational diabetes. I also
had it with my first child. I was lucky enough that
it was only during pregnancy, and that I could very
easily control it with slight diet change. <br
my personal history and family medical backround, I
have about a 98% chance of developing type 2 diabetes
as some point in my life. Every person over 40 in my
family has it, my (paternal) grandmother and (maternal)
great grandmother both died from uncoltrolled diabetes.
My parents are the only exception to this, but they
are both just now 40.<br
diabetes will go away again with the birth of this baby.
But I really hope to learn to change my eating habits

day. Should have some experience with it don’t you
think????? Enjoy the following!!!!!<br
GUIDELINES FOR DIABETICS. (Print and hang up on the fridge
door.)<br
and not sticking to the rules! You<br
anything now but it sure as hell will get you later.
Diabetes will give you time to live, under what
circumstances, is up to how you control your diabetes right FROM
THE START!! A good life can be had, having
diabetes!!!!! <br
that will give you a good diet to live by, preventing
heart disease, preventing to be overweight and because
you are forced to do your excersize you will remain
slim or slimmer than you would be, if you carried on

I seem to remember that there was a lady by the
name of Taty. Anyone knows what happened to her. She
seems to have disappeared.<br
heard about on another board and the person using it
was happy about it. Then , about a week later she was
off it, because it acted up on her very badly. She
was glad to be back on the old stuff again. She
thought that she maybe was allergic to it.<br
you like the pump, but as you say you still run into
trouble even with the pump. I would have to lay out $
5000. for that and I find it a bit risky to do that.
I’m on 6 needles per day but keep a reasonable good
average.<br
speaking about your BC. I have the greatest respect for
you, you must help many to overcome the grief
