Hi, I agree with you, I can't believe how many
people think they can never have sugar again. I've even
had co-workers (well-meaning, I'm sure) chastize me
when I eat something they believe a diabetic shouldn't
have.<br
pounds and lessened my Glucophage from 1500mg to 1000 mg
by eating sensibly, and not following the old
wives-tales.<br
have given up NOTHING! Deprivation leads to cravings,
and cravings leads to binging. That is not
good.<br
for me by my Diabetes Nutritionist and Diabetes
Education Specialist. I eat an occasional few cookies, and
even more amazingly I occasionally have a real frozen
custard with chocolate sprikles. BUT, that is not the
<!--more-->
norm, and I take the calories into my alloted amount
for the day.<br
that, I also lower my carb intake for the day, knowing
that carbs turns into sugar.<br
Anything Is Possible!<br
Diabetic make appointments with Diabetes Nutritionists and
Diabetic Education Specialists. These people have educated
my to my new dietary needs and what I should do
because of my Diabetes. They have been a life-saver, and
have shown me that most of the old ideas on Diabetic
menus need to re-thought and brought into the new
millennium.<br
Diabetic Nutritionist and Diabetic Education Specialist,
do yourself a favor and do so.
