Cheryl,<br
me to Shel Silverstein. I think the pieces you have
posted are so much fun. I am embarrassed to say I did
not know about this writer even though I was a high
school librarian for thirty years. I am so glad you
enlightened me.

Yes, Cheryl, I too have to thank you for my
“re”introduction to Shel Silverstein. My most very favorite
teacher of all time from elementary school would read to
us from several of Shel’s books and your postings of
these poems brings back so many fond memories! I truly
enjoy them!<br

Thank you, Cat. I just discovered Shel Silverstein last year, and I am an avid
reader. Wonder how he slipped past me?? But I’m making up for it now –
LOL.<br
