Hallo John - Kijk Hier, A.U.B.
Hallo John,<br
had gezegd dat u uit ‘t Nederlands
komt.<br
een letter naar een vriend in ‘t Nederlands
anschrijven, maar ik kan niet een woord dat ik zoek in mijn
woordenboek vinden.<br
“Diabetic” in de nederlandse taal?<br
woord voor “Diabetes” is suikerziekte, maar wat is de
woord voor “Diabetic”? Suikerziekteer…? Weet
u?<br
your time, but I have very few chances to practice my
Dutch. Since you said you said you come from The
Netherlands I though you may be able to help me with a
problem. I am looking for the word “Diabetic” in Dutch. I
have been able to find “Diabetes”, but not “Diabetic”.
Do you know the word? Thanks in advance, and please
excuse my clumsy efforts to write in your mother
tongue.<br

Devlin,….how interesting. I never was a
diabetic in Holland and I’m in Canada 46 years.<br
to forget many words but I have a Dutch dictionary.
It says diabeticus suffers from diabetes
(suikerziekte) and meervoud (plural) is called diabetici (from
Latin.) The word diabetes is used also , so it is
possible that a diabetic is also called a diabetic over
there.<br
