Talking about proud and greatful……..

Thursday, October 30th, 2003

I.m very proud of my life-partner by the name
Johanna. It makes a big difference in life having diabetes
to have a good partner. Like I read about this lady
who just got diabetes and wanted her husband to come
along to an info-meeting on diabetes. He finally
consented after much resistance, came along and during the
discussions read the paper in the back of the room. WOW!!!!!
Divorce!!!!!Divorce!!!!!!<br
my
own actions as a diabetic in a total of 18 medical
things each day I have to do I have a partner who is on
my side 100% all the time. She has done that always
but more so in the last 41 years of having diabetes.
We will be married in April (18) for 50 years and
was diabetes free only for 9 years of that. ( that we

First off, Amanda and Jenny. A big bouquet of
roses for you for your postings. Especially Amanda who
wrote this at age 19?? More than excellent. Life is
what you make it.!!! Indeed.!!<br
sipping in a girl in a sleeping bag, wow, why didn’t I
ever think of that.!!!<br
hear about your idea about being ashamed of having
diabetes. Why, possibly??? You know, if you have to start
to hide that from a possible boyfriend….if you
feel that you must….that fellow is not worth your
attention. You have to come out with that anyway and if you
do that at a later time he may well feel that you
don’t trust him with the truth and leave you right

me. Talking about trust between two people…. Not a

tougher than beef or pork, horsemeat is considered to be
juicier. Its texture, by all accounts, is

Bobby and ulcers..not in that order.!!!

Monday, October 6th, 2003

Bobby just saw all your interests. Lucky you did
not run out of space on there. With your interests I
figure you must all-ready have bought a ticket on the
next moonflight.???????<br
announcement to make. Over the last couple of days a new leg
ulcer was born. Yes it was.!!! I had 3 before and like
people I guess you can do more with 4 instead of 3. Like
playing bridge or some other cardgame. Must get boring to
just sit there with the 3 of you. They progress in
coming up and then in leaving over about 16 weeks and
then just stop improving, waiting for an other day. Ah
well, you get used to it like taking needles, what
would I do without them if suddenly I would not have to
care about my 18 thingies I have to do to stay alive
on a daily basis (besides the ulcers.)……But

Thanks for the invite! I’ve been a Type 2 for six
years, on pills which seem to be not working so well for
me any more. I’ve just had to increase the dose
again, and if this doesn’t work will have to have some
insulin as well.<br
things to take effect, but a week of the higher dose has
also brought a week of higher blood sugars. Oh
well!<br
gets my sugars back under control will be very
welcome!<br
