Hi Group, many names I recognize and many I
don’t. Sounds like this is the place I need to be. I am
sorry I have not got time to read all the past post, so
I will just jump in. I am 49 yrs old and had DM for
44 yrs. I have been on an insulin pump for 19 yrs. I
am legally blind due to retinopathy and severally
hearing impaired (hereditary). I have a certified hearing
dog that goes everywhere with me. Her name is Glory.

felt I handled everything pretty well til the last
five years and I have emotionally gone to pot. I
worked in nursing for 25 yrs and I think job related
stress plus DM did me in. Two years ago I found the
internet with list of DMers. This contact has been a life
saver, not only with DM, but also with the isolation of

hearing and vision loss. I am ready for any and all
understanding.<br
