Taty, <br
lows w/ my A1c at 5.5. Not many. Once in a while, but
whenever they start to happen more that two or three times
a week I cut my basals back a .1 of a unit or
so.<br
I'm high I usually take one unit for every 18 grams
of carbohydrate, and if I am low I bump it to one
unit for 20 grams. Works pretty well...especially as a
student.<br

Welcome Jenny,<br
work degree.<br
great. By any chance are you getting a lot of
lows?<br
it went down from the last time, which was 6.8. Ever
since I was put on the pump 3 years ago, my HbA1c have
been below 7.0. Sometimes, I might have problems
because I have gastroparesis, this means that my stomach
is slow in digesting what I eat.<br
you that aren't sure what the HbA1c or
Glycohemoglobin test are, you should really talk to your doctors
about this test. These tests measure how much glucose
was in your blood in the last 3 to 4
months.<br
never heard of HbA1c or Glycohemoglobin. These tests
<!--more-->
can give you an idea of whether or not you need any
adjustments in your Diabetes regimen. You should also test
your blood glucose at home.<br
Love.<br
