Peaceful thoughts create a feeling of peace. Consider this
concept and check it out for yourself. Whenever you are
aware of an identifiable feeling, check on your
thoughts. And, if you wish to change a feeling, see what
happens when you change your thoughts.<br
words are the basis for thoughts, consider your use of
certain words and what thoughts and feelings arise from
them. Do you “test” your blood glucose or do you
“monitor”? Some of you may say, “It’s the same thing.”
Others will see the difference as
signicant.<br
judgmental. Since people do not like to fail or feel like a
failure, some (out of fear of failure) may not check their
blood glucose. However, if you say and think “monitor,”
there is quite a different meaning and feeling. To
monitor is to seek information. The data collected is
used for decision-making, not judging. Your thoughts
about blood glucose monitoring can make it a burden or
a blessing. Compare these two thoughts:<br
As if age, weight, income, and IQ were not enough,
blood glucose results give us another set of numbers by
which we can judge ourselves… or be judged.<br
Blood glucose monitoring provides me with information
that helps me to be in control of my life. I can have
greater safety and comfort when I know where my blood
glucose level is.<br
